‘Modern Industrial’ extension, added to the rear of an original Housing Commission fibro & tile roof house in Bulli.

A large site facing north is less gently sloping. The extension incorporates a deck, kitchen, dining & cosy lounge area with an entry featuring Balinese doors. Up a split level, to storage & bathroom under the original house. The upper level which links to the floor level of the original house, offers a bathroom, ensuite & stairwell. The original small kitchen / dining area was removed & some minor reworking allowed the original bedrooms to be reused almost untouched.

What makes this project stand out is the clever design by the architect & the owners incorporation of the various items collected while living overseas in Indonesia. The outdoor deck, pool & landscaping finish off a wonderful conversion of a tired 1960’s fibro home.
